It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba 'Jean' Clark, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully on February 5, 2015 in her daughter's home surrounded by her family.
Jean was born on August 4, 1930 in Seymour, IN. In 1954 she married Carl N. Clark and moved to Indianapolis, IN where Carl worked for Zimmer Orthopedics and Jean was a homemaker raising their two daughters until 1973 when they moved to Naples, FL. They remained there until their death, married 60 years.
Jean baby-sat many children over the years, treating each child as if it were her own grandchild. Children always seem to gravitate to her everywhere she went whether they knew her or not. She loved all children and the love you could see so clear was reflected back to her by the children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; and daughter, Kimberly Douglas.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Vivonetto (Jack); grandchildren, Jack Anthony (Gabriella), Marc, Nicholas, Jacob, Sophia; great-granddaughter, Maddalena Vivonetto.
A memorial is planned in the future.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Avow Hospice, Naples, FL.
Arrangements have been entrusted to National Cremation & Burial Society North Ft. Myers, FL.
You can to the family or in memory of Melba Clark.
