Melda Turner, 71, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed on September 21, 2022. Melda was born on January 09, 1951.
Melda was born to Mary Lee Wilson and Charles Hayden, she grew up in the Hill District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She graduated from Fifth Avenue High School in 1966, then seven years later Melda received her certification as a clerical clerk-typist at Connelly skills learning center. August of 1973 she also received her certificate of training for counseling from the Veteran Administration. Melda continued her education and in November 1974 she received her Certification as a Nursing GS-4 from the V.A hospital.
Melda then went on to serve her Country proudly completeing her active duty training an then as a Private First Class receiving her crtifications from U.S. Women's Army Corps Center and School, Fort McClean, Alabama.
She graduated from the 99th United States Army reserve Command Non-Commissioned Officer Academy in June of 1976 then in 1978 Melda was honorably discharged from the United States Army.
She then Married the love of her life Harold C.Turner on September 28,1979. Together they built a beautiful family of four children and continued to grow adding a host of grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Melda then went on to become a Nurse's Aide an in March of 1980, and she received her certifications from Presbyterian University Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1989 she also recevied her certificate as a Medical Insurance Specialist from CCAC of Allegheny.
