Melinda Marie Torres  was born on September 26, 1941 in Waco, Texas, to the late Mrs. Clara Brandon and Mr. Willie B. Brandon Sr. She was the third child and the oldest daughter. She spent her early childhood years in the community of Waco, Texas. She accepted christ and was baptized at the early age of 12. Melinda graduated from Fremont high school in Los Angelos California. 

In November 1971 she was united in holy matrimony to Gene Torres. This union was blessed with two children Nicole and Stephanie. 

She choose nursing as a lifetime career, she attended Pacific Coast College where she recieved her nursing degree. She worked as a nurse at Habor View House for 14 years. 

Melinda answered the call of our Heavenly Father on June 16, 2019. 

She leaves behind to remeber her life, two daughters, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
