It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melissa Hunter, who was born on October 22, 1966 and left this world on October 25, 2024 in Salisbury, North Carolina, United States. She was the beloved daughter of Eunice and Georgianna Burton.
Melissa leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, as well as her two siblings, Gracie Burton and Sharleen Burton and three children Micheal Johnson, Rozalind Merrell, and Chiquetia Johnson. She was also a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren.
She attended East Bladen High School and graduated in 1985 before pursuing further studies at Gadsen Business College, where she graduated in 2000.
Melissa had a passion for bowling and biking, and could often be found enjoying these activities with her family and friends.
Her kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Melissa passed away peacefully from natural causes, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to know her.
