MeLissa Elizabeth Akers-Loy, 47, passed on January 15, 2021. MeLissa was born to Leonard Akers and Deena Marie Dunning in Apison, Tennessee on July 27, 1973.

MeLissa married Danny C. Loy Jr and they lived together in St. Louis, Missouri. Together they raised 5 children Justice W. Brickey, Jacob M. Elder, Joshua M Elder, Amethyst Blair, Danny C. Loy III. MeLissa is also survived by 3 grandchildren.

MeLissa worked as a stay at home mother and when asked what she wanted to be when she was younger. Her response would be precisely that.

MeLissa is survived by five of her sibilings; Hugh (Ted) Robinson, William (Bill) Mills Jr., Leslie Mills, Pamela Mills-Johnson, and Dianna Hendricks-Gaines. Along with her many neices and nephews. three neices that she grow up with like sisters are Shallanna Calci, Julia Dunkins, and Christa Cox. Preceding her in death; her mother Deena Marie Dunning, her father Leonard Akers, one of her older sisters Tammy Cox-Venatta, and her younger brother Shane Akers.
