Melissa K. "Missy" RobertsAlbany - Melissa K. Roberts, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in a car accident near her home in Albany.Melissa was born on May 20, 1970 to Ward and Sally (Williams) Ladd in Kosciusko County. She graduated there from Tippecanoe Valley High School in 1988.On November 23, 1996 she was married to Mark Roberts of Albany.Melissa enjoyed reading; she chiefly enjoyed reading mysteries. She loved music, especially that of the band Styx; she was privileged to once meet lead singer, Tommy Shaw and went backstage. She had a special connection to her pet cats but was a loving mother and wife, above all.Those who survive include husband, Mark Roberts of Albany; son, Rhett Tiger Allan Roberts, at home; mother, Sally Ladd of Atwood, IN; brother, Blake Ladd of Denver, CO; and two sisters, Debbi (Bart) Fore of Mishawaka, IN and Jody Torpy of Atwood, IN.She was preceded in death by her father, Ward Ladd in 1994 and by three cats whom she loved like children: Junior, Layla and Tully.Visitation will take place Tuesday, December 27th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan St., Warsaw. A funeral service follow at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Beezley of Atwood's Aldersgate Church will officiate.
