Melton Harvey WebbFuneral services for Melton Harvey Webb will be held Friday, March 17, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Following the service, Mr. Webb will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Pastor Darwin Hunter with be officiating the service.Melton was born on August 27, 1929 in Robeline, Louisiana to Melton Marion Webb and Augusta Haynes Webb. He served in the Air Force in 1947 until 1949 and he was a 32nd Mason. He enjoyed working with his hands, gardening, and woodworking in his spare time. He was known to be able to fix anything, loved his wife's cooking, as well as spending time with his family. He especially loved doing things with his grandkids. He passed away at the age of 87 on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. All who knew and loved him will dearly miss him.He is survived by three children, Jeffrey Webb Baird, Dennis Harvey Webb (Debbie), and Kevin Scott Webb (Anita); seven grandchildren, Sarah, Jennifer, Craig, Jeffrey, Lindsey, Ashley, and Logan; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters; a brother; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Bertie S. Webb, his parents, and five sisters.
