It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melvin Qualls, who was born on March 3, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States and peacefully passed away on January 4, 2022.

Melvin touched the lives of many through his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be cherished forever.

Melvin was a devoted parent to his three children, Desmond Qualls, Hakeem Qualls, and Tiffany Qualls, and a loving spouse to Reco Barnett. He was also a proud grandparent to five grandchildren.

He studied at Kingsbury High School, where he graduated in 1979, and went on to lead a successful career in his chosen field.

Outside of his professional life, Melvin had a passion for playing tennis, golf, and fishing. He found joy and peace in these hobbies and shared his love for them with those around him.

Melvin's sudden passing due to a heart attack has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Though he may be gone, Melvin's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, forever cherished and forever loved.
