Smeester, Melvin B.Melvin B. Smeester, 94, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017, at his home with his family at his side. He was born on July 2, 1923, in Green Bay, the son of Henry and Rose Smeester.Melvin is survived by his wife of 73 years, Dorothy; one daughter, Sally Landwehr; two granddaughters, Melonie (Jeff) Tahtinen, and Chris (Steve) Bieda; two great-grandchildren, Brennan Tahtinen and Marissa Bieda; a sister, Alvina Bargmann; and a brother, Henry Jr. (Phyliss) Smeester.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl Smeester; and son-in-law, Bob Landwehr.In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no visitation and a private service will be held.
