Funeral Services for Melvin Gene Trammell, 58, of Willis, Texas will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 3:00 P.M at The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the Rev. Ray Hyden officiating. Interment will follow at Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery in Conroe. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 4:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. Mr. Trammell was born on September 26, 1958 in Michigan to Willie and Wilma (Ice) Trammell. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Shenandoah, Texas.

Mel was employed for many years with the Harris County Auditor's Office where he served as Asst. Chief of Disbursements. He was dearly loved by all his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Mel was preceded in death by his parents; Willie and Wilma Trammell; his brother, Larell Trammell and his sister, Marsha Trammell Harrison.

He is survived by his loving family: Beloved wife of 32 years, Carol Trammell; step children, Lisa Porter and husband, Robert, Edward J. Vallieres, Jr. and wife, Darla; Rene' G. Vallieres, Suzette Vallieres, Jeff Jackson and Paul Wilden; sisters, Marie Trammell Jones and husband, Bill, Florence Trammell Jackson; brothers, Edwin Trammell and Kenneth Wayne Trammell and wife, Dorothy; grandchildren, John Porter, PhD, Jessica Vallieres, Edward J. Vallieres, Nicole Vallieres, Melanie Vallieres and Abigail Porter; great grandchildren, Jason Hill and Henry Smith; numerous other dear relatives and friends also survive.

Pallbearers will include: Rene' Vallieres, Jeff Jackson, JoAnna Hernandez, Paul Wilden, Timothy Rose and Jason Hill.
