Larson, Melvin E.Melvin W. Larson, age 73, of 1409 Cty Hwy V V, Two Rivers, died on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at his residence. He was born on February 12, 1939, in Phelps, son of Mildred (Klabunde) and the late Harold Larson. Melvin attended schools in the Phelps area. He served in the
United States Navy from 1958 until 1962. In 1982 he married Marcella Olson in Manitowoc. Melvin was employed as a millwright with the Mirro Corp. until his retirement in 2002. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Melvin enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and NASCAR. He especially loved his dog BooBoo.Survivors include his wife Marcella, Two Rivers; son: William Larson and special friend, Allison, Two Rivers; daughter: Tami (Scott) Klenhorf, Brandon; 10 step children: Linda Kono, Two Rivers; Susan (Raymond) Ross, Racine; David (Beth) Luckow, Laura (Jeff) Klein, Sheila Cron, all of Two Rivers, Theresa (Gary) Meissner, Mishicot, Jerry (Rhonda) Luckow, George (Wendy) Luckow, Todd (Julie) Luckow, Melinda Pelnar, all of Two Rivers; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his mother: Mildred Larson, Phelps; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Donna and Mel Poyzer, Port Isabella, TX; Linda and John Sparks, Land O' Lakes; one brother and sister-in-law: Gerald and Barb Larson, Phelps; and one sister-in-law: Mae Wunsch, Shawano. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Melvin was preceded in death by his father, Harold; one sister, Rita Riihimaki; one brother-in-law, Robert Olson; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: George and Myrtle Olson.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2012, at The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Paul Kieffer with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. Military Honors will be accorded by the Two Rivers
