Melvin Gross, 77, of Hazard, Kentucky, passed on May 14, 2022. Melvin was born on September 10, 1944. Melvin was an Army veteran stationed in Venice, Italy. He worked for nine years in the 1970's at Pillsbury Company in New Albany, Indiana as well as Grace Chemical in New Albany, Indiana before moving back to Hazard, Kentucky where he then found his longtime job of moving and setting up mobile homes with his best friend Rocky up until he retired. He was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors and wildlife. He was a devout Jehovah's Witness for 44 years. Preceding him in death were his loving wife of 46 years Shirley June Gross; his beloved son Melvin Shane Gross; Parents John Gross and Bertha Goodson Gross; Brothers William, Burley and Raleigh Gross. He is survived by his children Tammy Wright (Ray), Brenda Basham (George), Missy Noplis Trail (Tracy), Todd Gross and Crystal Gross; Brothers Larry Gross (Lena), O'Dell Gross (Helen) and a sister Geneva Gross; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom he all loved dearly.
