It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melvin Harris-Brown, who left us on September 15, 2024, at the age of 69. Melvin was born on November 4, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois to his loving parents George Brown and Mary Harris.
Melvin leaves behind his cherished daughter Mellissa Brown, who he adored more than anything in the world. He also leaves behind four grandchildren whom he loved to spoil rotten.
Melvin attended Phillips High School, where he graduated in 1970. He then continued his education in HVAC and proudly graduated in 1977. Melvin worked hard at Sundance throughout his career and finally retired in 2024.
Known for his love of cars, passion for cooking, and his fascination with watching animal stories, Melvin was a man of many hobbies. However, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Despite his humorous nature, we are saddened to share that Melvin's life was cut short due to a drug overdose. Even in death, Melvin leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Rest in peace, Melvin. You will be missed more than words can express.
