It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Meredith Brown, who was born on November 4, 1980, and passed away on October 1, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas.

Meredith was preceded in death by grandparents Harley & Thelma Berg and Sam & Helen Wright

She was the beloved daughter of Joel and Jan Wright. Meredith was a devoted mother to her two children, Jackson and Emma Brown. She is survived by her brother, Patrick, uncle, Joe Berg and his wife, Karin; aunt, Sandy Worsfold and her husband, Gordon; cousins, John Berg, Joanna White, Chris Ewing and Kelli McFadden.

Meredith’s extended family includes David and Lindsey Brown, and their children Lane, Cameron and her goddaughter, Bailey.

Meredith attended Waco High School and went on to continue her studies in education at Sam Houston State University. She was a born teacher and worked as a dedicated middle school English teacher, touching the lives of countless students throughout her career.

Outside of her profession, Meredith enjoyed hobbies such as reading, listening to music, and attending her children's activities. She was a loving and caring individual who always put her family first.

Unfortunately, Meredith passed away after battling cancer. Her strength and courage throughout her illness inspired all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and students. Meredith's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
