Diefenthaler, "Fuzzy' Merle E."Fuzzy" Merle L. Diefenthaler, age 62, of Collins, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at his residence with his family by his side.Fuzzy was born on May 26, 1950, son of the late Roland and Louise (Klessig) Diefenthaler. He was a graduate from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1968. On October 27, 1979, he married the former Bonnie Mott in Spring Valley. He completed his machinist apprenticeship at Kaufman's Manufacturing after high school and continued his employment there until his illness. Fuzzy enjoyed the wildlife in the Collins area, hunting with his son, nature, camping at their land in Crivitz, fishing and snowmobiling.Fuzzy is survived by his wife, Bonnie, Collins; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul (Shelly) Diefenthaler, Francis Creek; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sonja (Scott) Hansen, Manitowoc; Becky Beatty and special friend Marky Henrickson, Two Rivers; four granchildren, Mykelyn Beatty, Taylor and Rachael Hansen, Brooke Diefenthaler; one brother-in-law, Tom (Pam) Mott, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law, Donna Voss, Texas;, LaRae (Denny) Carpenter, Minnesota. Nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Louise Diefenthaler; one grandson, Sean Beatty; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Florence and Orville Mott; one brother-in-law, Eugene Voss; numerous aunts and uncles and his special companion, Fred.Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Eric Kolonich.The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, December 21, 2012, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting
