Michael Bialek-Gilliam, affectionately known as Mikey, was born on March 15, 1993, in Baldwin, NY. He passed away on September 21, 2024, in Utica, NY, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and community spirit.


Mikey was a dedicated medical assistant who found joy in his work and was committed to giving back to his community. He loved to inspire and support the next generation of children, embodying the belief that everyone has the potential to succeed. His favorite hobbies included sports, swimming, and spending quality time with his family and friends, with basketball being his sport of choice. 


An avid traveler, Michael delighted in exploring new places and cultures. He had a special fondness for Italian and Chinese cuisine, often sharing meals with loved ones around the dinner table. His warmth and generosity touched the hearts of many, and he cherished every moment spent surrounded by family, including his parents, Joseph Gilliam and Mariam Bialek-Gilliam, his siblings, grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Michael lived by the motto, "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new," which reflected his adventurous spirit and desire to embrace life fully. His proudest accomplishment was making his parents proud, a testament to his strong family values.


He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered for his loving nature and the joy he brought to those around him.
