We are saddened to announce the passing of Michael Boen (Mick), who left this world on May 1, 2024 in Denton, Texas, United States. Born on October 29, 1955 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Sammy and Barbara Boen. Michael lived a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Michael married his wonderful wife, Janice Caviness on June 6, 1980. Together they raised two wonderful children.

After graduating from Roland High School in 1974, he served his country with honor as a SGT in the United States Air Force for 4 years leaving with an Honorable discharge. He then went on to serve the city of Fort Smith, Arkansas as a police officer for 2 years. His commitment to his work and country was truly admirable. Michael dedicated himself to his work at GMB/Exide Battery for 10 years after that.

He was guaranteed to make you laugh. He had a joke for everything and everyone. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His contagious laughter, warm smile, and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Mick is survived by his wife Janice, 2 children, Amanda Boen (Andrew) and Keith Boen (Kaelyn), two grandchildren Kash and Kassidy. His brother Keith (Teresa), 2 nieces, 4 great nieces, and 2 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, and one great niece Allison Boen.

Rest in peace, Mick. We will remember you always with love and laughter.
