Michael McCullough, beloved husband, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend passed away on July 23, 2024 in Granville, New York at the age of 75. He was born on July 1, 1949 to Joseph and Florence McCullough.
Michael grew up a proud Jersey boy, embracing the “Shore” lifestyle. He excelled in sports, particularly baseball. In his early years, he moved to South Florida where he would reside for the majority of his adult life. It was here that he met the love of his life, Lynn Ann Sime. They were happily married for 41 years. Their love was made whole by the birth of their daughter, Michell, who was light of their life. She blessed them with 2 grandchildren, Nicolas and Niva.
Michael is survived by his daughter Michell Quintana, and two adoring grandkids, Niva Vieira and Nicolas Quintana. Michael also had 4 very closely loved great grandchildren, Ariella Vieira, Eliana Vieira, Olivia Vieira and Abigail Vieira. The father of his great grandchildren, Matthew Vieira, was loved dearly by him. Their bond was special.
Michael was a brother to 10 brothers and sisters who were all very close and loved him very much. He always spoke highly of his siblings and kept memorable relationships with each of them as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Michael had a passion for music and spent his time singing, dancing, playing the drums, and just “rockin out” as he would say. He was known for his rhythmic talent lol and his love for performing. He was also a huge Florida sports fan. (Go Panthers!)
His door was always open for his family. He embraced a full house. Above all, he was a light and a laugh to all. Easy going and filled with humor. His joyful Spirit will remain with us always, as we strive to live as happily as he did. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
While he left us here on Earth, we gained a guardian Angel who is resting in the comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ.
