In Loving Memory

Michael Ray Griffith, born on February 15, 1947, in Stockton, California, passed away on March 20, 2024. He was the beloved son of William and Betty Griffith. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy, Benjamin, William, and Eddie.

He was the loving husband of Juanita (Jenny) Griffith for 55 years. Michael and Jenny were united in marriage in 1968 and were blessed with three children: Vivica (Russell) Griffith-Perschnick, Isela (Tyler) Griffith-Wu, and his devoted son, Phillip Griffith. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchild, Emily Griffith-Perschnick.

Michael attended Edison High School, graduating with honors in 1964. He went on to further his education and baseball career at Fresno State University. Michael was soon drafted by the New York Mets in 1965. Michael later worked as a printing press operator for over 25 years.

Throughout his life, Michael had several hobbies that brought him joy and fulfillment. He enjoyed watching sports with his family, coaching baseball, and baking delicious treats for his loved ones. Nobody will ever make a lasagna or a pumpkin pie quite like Michael. We also have to mention Michael's sense of humor. His genuine laughter will live in our hearts forever.

Michael Griffith will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His impact on the lives of those around him will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace.
