Michael Costa, 44, of Franklin, Massachusetts, United States, passed Wednesday, July 03, 2019. Michael was born February 20, 1975, to Charles and Marilyn (Simmons) Costa. He held a Ph.D. in music and fine arts from BU and a BA in photography from RISD. He worked as a freelance artist in digital media.

Michael was affiliated with several charitable organizations and was known to go above and beyond even the highest expectations to support family and friends. He was an animal lover and had dogs and cats. Michael is survived by a husband, Dr. Christian Sjögren, of Stockholm, Sweden; his father, Charles Costa; a twin sister, Jennifer Egan; and several nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by, his mother, Marilyn Costa.

There will be a private gathering for family and close friends.
