Richards, Sr., 75, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, December 2nd, at his home with his family by his side.He was born on May 4, 1941, in South Bend, to the late Harry F. and Helene (Troupe) Richards.On November 18, 1961, in San Diego, CA, he married Nancy M. McCoy, who preceded him in death in 2010. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Terrie Vera.Mike is survived by his children, Michael B. (Helen) Richards, Jr., Steven T. Richards and Tammy L. (Doug) Kaser, all of South Bend; six grandchildren, Cory Richards, Lauren (Aaron) Wood, Anthony (Sarah) Kaser, Brooke Richards, Stevie Richards and Keaton Richards; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jackson, Mason, Zoe and Savannah; and a brother, Timothy D. Richards of South Bend.He retired from Burkhart Advertising after 38 years of service installing advertisements on billboards. Mike proudly served his country in U.S. Army.He enjoyed going to the casinos, hunting, fishing and golfing.Friends may visit with Mike's family from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday, December 11th, at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel,” located at State Road 23/W. Ireland Road, South Bend. Memorial Service with Military Honors will follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home, with Pastor Ben Webb officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Mt.
