Michael Mahler, beloved brother, father, grandfather, & friend, passed away on May 9, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Leaving earth to join his parents & grandson Billy Duain at the pearly white Gates of Heaven. Born on March 9, 1960, to Melvin Mahler and Darlene Brooks.
Michael is survived by his brother Melvin Mahler jr, sister Rachel Richardson, niece Kristen Higgins, his "favorite daughter," Samantha Mahler, & 2 grandchildren, Michael McKinley & Isabella Mahler. He was a hard worker who wore his heart on his sleeve. He had Jesus in his heart and believed that the Lord was our Savior in Heaven who would wash away our sins and set us free.
He attended Siloam Springs High School & graduated in 1978 with a basketball scholarship. After a few years in college Michael pursued a career in upholstery, where he honed his skills & built a successful livelihood. He took great pride in his work & was well-respected in his field. He was passionate for upholstery so much he started a business naming it "Mike's Upholstery."
Besides his work, Michael had a range of hobbies and interests. He adored spending time with his family, friends, and his loyal dog, Lucy. He enjoyed playing basketball, fishing, and trying his luck at the casino. He was also known for his long walks, always moving at a brisk pace and never wanting to slow down.
Michael's unexpected passing was due to a heart attack, lovingly referred to by his grandchildren as a "Fart attack." His memory will be forever cherished by all who knew & loved him.
