YORK Michael J. Mann, 61, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at the York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Linda M. (Kile) Mann. Mr. Mann was born on November 3, 1953, in York, and was the son of the late Anthony and Doris (Ditzler) Mann. Michael served in the U.S. Navy and was a former correction officer for York County Prison. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Philip Mann and Chad Mann; stepchildren, Sheldon Grimm, Christopher Grimm, Eric Grimm, Dale Ellis, and Dori Grimm-Guerin; and siblings, Jennie, Dottie, Mary, Bob, John, and Anthony. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Mann Cambell; and grandsons, Sharrod Snellings and Eric Grimm, Jr. Following cremation a memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 150 Jefferson Ave., York, on Tuesday, December 9, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Vietnam Veterans Funds and the Boys Club of York.
