Michael Lacy, born on June 25th, 2002, passed away on May 3rd, 2023, at the young age of 20. Michael grew up in South Bend, Indiana, as the beloved child of Chadwhick Lacy and Sheila Lacy. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Ingrid Lacy, whom he had married in the year 2021, and a proud father to their child, Milo Lacy.
Michael attended Washington High School, where he excelled academically and also actively participated in extra-curricular activities. He was a bright and ambitious student, and his teachers and peers alike recognized his leadership abilities and kind-hearted nature. After graduating from high school, Michael joined Five Guys, a popular fast-food restaurant chain, where he worked passionately and dedicatedly.
Tragically, Michael's life was taken away from him prematurely, and he was gun downed outside R bar of south bend on May 3rd, 2023. The news of his passing left his family, friends, and the entire community heartbroken and in disbelief over the gun violence in south bend. Michael is deeply missed by everyone who knew him for his friendly nature and optimistic outlook on life. His sincerity and kindness touched the hearts of countless people, and his legacy will undoubtedly live on in the memories of all those who knew him.
Michael Lacy's passing reminds us all of how precious life is and how our time here is not guaranteed. His loss is a harsh reminder of the fragility of life and the senselessness of violence. His murder has left a deep wound in the hearts of his loved ones, and his community vows to ensure that justice is served for him.
