Michael L. EvansPEORIA - Michael L. Evans, 74, of Peoria passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.He was born on November 8, 1941, in Peoria, Illinois, to Harold and Roseileen Evans.Mike was an avid golfer and hunter and a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Bradley University athletics.Surviving are his daughter, Heather Evans; grandson, Aiden; stepson, Shawn Rogers; and step-grandson, Forrest.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Craig Evans.Mike retired from the Illinois Dept. of Transportation after 30 years of service. After retiring, he was employed part-time by the Peoria Park District and worked at Kellogg golf course until his death.He was a member of Northwoods Community Church and taught bible studies to children.A celebration of Mike's life will be held at 12 noon on November 5, 2016, at Northwoods Community Church.
