DELPHOS — Michael Lawrence, 73, of Delphos, passed away on February, 27, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 28, 1943, to Lester and Daisy (Johnson) Lawrence. Both preceded him in death. On March 8, 1974, he was united in marriage to Sharon Carder, she survives in Delphos.
He is survived by 3 children, Theresa (Steve) Goodwin of Delphos, Mark Vulgamott of Cloverdale and Phillip Vulgamott of Spencerville; 3 brothers Al (Dee) Lawrence of Fayette, Charles "Chuck"(Linda) Lawrence of Lima and Tom (Judy) Lawrence of Huntsville. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shannon Goodwin and a brother James Lawrence.
Mike was in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion #268. Mike had worked for New Delphos Manufacturing and Suever Stone Quarry. He loved fishing with his sons, LeBron James, Cleveland Browns and teasing his daughter.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, with Rev Gary Fish and Rev Glen Prine officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Shelter in Lima.
