Michael Leonard "Mike" Douglas, 57, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 9, 1955, in Nelson County, a former employee of Intertec Systems, a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, but was attending Boston Community Church, a member of On The Edge Band and played guitar for various gospel groups.He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Jones and Mary Frances Jones Douglas; and a brother, Thomas Edward Douglas.Survivors include his wife, Karen Pope Douglas; two daughters, LaToya (Chianti) Woodlee, of Maryville, Tenn., and BriAnna Douglas, of Bardstown; three grandchildren; five sisters, Geraldine (LeRoy) Jones, of Killeen, Texas, Carolyn Ardis, of Detroit, Ann R. (Ernest) Williams, of Bardstown, Janice L. Harkness, of Bardstown and Dianna (James) Mooring, of Radcliff.The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at First Baptist Church of Bardstown with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. Brother Rick Martin will officiate. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Clark & Houghlin Funeral Home and Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
