Michael M. Lombrano was born on January 19, 1947, in Casa Grande, AZ, to Susie and Manuel Lombrana. As a child, Michael moved with his family to Ventura, CA, where he attended school, graduating from Buena High School in 1965. Michael served his country honorably joining the United States
Army in 1965. He served in Vietnam with the US 173rd Airborne Brigade. For his bravery, Michael was awarded the
Purple Heart,
Bronze Star Medal and Army Commendation Medal. In 1976, Michael moved to Fresno, CA, where he raised three daughters and worked for the Social Security Administration. After retiring from his job in 2003, Michael and his wife, Debbie, moved to Madera, CA. Michael had a passion for music as he once owned Starfire Productions, promoting country music artists. Michael was currently active in the Military Order of the Purple Heart where he volunteered his time helping other veterans and their families. The love, support and comradery Michael felt from his fellow brothers at the Military Order of the Purple Heart will be forever lasting. Michael passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017, in Madera, CA. Michael was preceded in death by his mother and father, Susie and Manuel Lombrana; sisters, Sophia Correa, Cecelia Polcari, Delores Douglas, Mary Adams, Lucille English, and Minnie Morrell; and grandson, Christopher DeLaCerda. He is survived by his wife Debbie; children and spouses, Melissa and Joe Lynch, Kathy and Gabe DeLaCerda, Suzi and Brian Thorpe, Tiffany and Michael Owens, Chris and Monique Ledbetter, and Billy and Danita Ledbetter; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Ruby Hazebrook, Juanita Douglas, and Ann Lee. A Memorial Service will be held at First Christian Church, 2300 Sunset Ave., Madera, CA 93637, on Saturday, February 4, 2017, 11:00 a.m.
