Patterson, MichaelMichael P. Patterson, 74, Neenah, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017, at Theda Care Regional Medical Center, Appleton. He was born on August 30, 1942, in Piqua, OH, the son of Paul and Margaret (Hirt) Patterson. Michael was united in marriage to Cynthia Curran on August 1, 1981, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, in Eagle, WI. He owned and operated Patterson/Ross Advertising in Oshkosh for many years. Prior to owning his own business he was employed with Lenox-Carolina as director of creative services and at Hobart Manufacturing. His creative ventures included a jewelry line, Christmas cards, men's fragrances, and office products lines. He was awarded 14 U.S. patents and several dozen U.S. and foreign trademarks, and received over 200 national and regional advertising awards. In his retirement he created LuckyStixGolf, a small business refurbishing hickory golf clubs. He revived his own art career and entered his works in local art shows. He also enjoyed reading about history, especially the Revolutionary War and Napoleon.Michael is survived by his wife: Cindy; 3 children: Jonathan (Joanne) Patterson, Jennifer (Jim) Youngwerth, and Andrew Patterson; 5 grandchildren: Nathan, Benjamin, Caleb, Ava, and Joshua; 4 siblings: Gary (Linda), Mark (LaMoria), Paul (Sandy) Patterson, and Lori (Bruce) Atkinson; and many other relatives and friends.Michael was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to express their gratitude to Fresenius Medical Care of Neenah."Try harder.
