Michael E. SchafferJanuary 5, 1955 - October 28, 2017DallastownMichael Schaffer died on Saturday October 28 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Karen Schaffer. Along with his wife, he is survived by one son, Kyle Schaffer of Seven Valleys and his wife, Lisa Schaffer; one daughter, Kolby Stellar of Lebanon and her husband, Gregory Stellar; and three grandchildren, Taylor Schaffer, Tyler Schaffer and Jaxson Stellar. Michael is also survived by four sisters, Donna Wolfgang, Jo Ann Sease, Linda Hess, Diane Schaffer, all of York; and one brother, Scott Schaffer of York.Michael was born on January 5, 1955 in York. He worked at Gichner Shelter Systems for 38 years. Michael also served in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, and going to the cabin. Michael was a member of the Dallastown American Legion and Victory Athletic Club. A celebration of life will be held at the Dallastown American Legion Post # 605 at 57 W. Main Street, Dallastown, on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 E.
