We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Michael Schaumann, born on September 11, 2000, in Highland, Utah. He tragically left this world on December 11, 2024, after a sharp encounter with a knife.
Michael, also known as the Wine Connoisseur, was the beloved husband of Elosie, whom he married in 2030. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Max, Elijah, Hanna, and Mani. His grandchildren, who shall remain nameless for their own protection, were the light of his life.
Michael was a proud graduate of Lone Peak High School in 2019 and Brigham Young University in 2025. He spent his career as a Clinical Counselor in New York City, where he helped countless individuals find peace and healing. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, wine tasting, hiking, traveling, and scrapbooking - a true Renaissance man.
His dedication to serving others extended to his volunteer work with the Red Cross organization. Michael's kindness and generosity touched everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on the world around him.
Although we are heartbroken by his sudden departure, we take comfort in knowing that he is now in a better place, sipping on the finest wines with a scrapbook in hand. Rest in peace, dear Michael. You will be dearly missed.
