Skornicka, MichaelMichael Skornicka, age 73, of Kewaunee passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Bellin Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 1, 1943 to the late Joseph and Clara (Mahlik) Skornicka of Stangelville.Mike graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1961. On June 4, 1976 he married Mary (Krall) Paul. He worked at Kewaunee Engineering, now Kewaunee Fabrications, for thirty-two years, where he held the position of supervisor for over twenty years. He also worked at Fleet Farm, NEW Plastics and Svoboda Industries. Many friendships were made during this time. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing baseball. In more recent years he enjoyed a good game of sheepshead with his family. Mike was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan who attended many games and had the privilege of being at the "Ice Bowl." He took great pride in following his grandchildren's sporting events and other activities.Survivors include Mary, his wife of forty years; five children: Sue (Ernie) Durocher; Mike Jr. (Becky) Skornicka, both of Two Rivers; Susie (Dan) Kudick, Kewaunee; Scott Paul (fiancé, Sherry), Luxemburg; Steve Paul (fiancé, Adelle), Shawano; a special dog, Snookums; thirteen grandchildren: Brandilyn, Brigette and Derek Durocher (special friend, Emily), Bo, Scott and Samuel Skornicka, Nick (Courtney) Kudick, Danielle Kudick, Vanessa (Alex) Pelnar, Angie and Mitch Kudick; Lucas and Austin Paul; one great granddaughter: Addison Kudick and another great grandchild on the way; two sisters: Carol Seidl, Green Bay; Mary Pribyl, Francis Creek. He was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: Danny Krall, Frankie Seidl and LaVern Pribyl and special dogs, Ruffles and Reggie.Mass of Christian Burial was be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21 by Fr. Peter Stryker at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee. Burial was in the parish cemetery.Go to
