Michael TurbevilleBrandonMichael E. ("Mike") Turbeville joined his Lord and Saviour in Heaven on February 6, 2017, after suffering a heart attack. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m., all at Pine Lake Church, 6071 MS-25, Brandon, Mississippi.Mike was born on August 25, 1950, and welcomed into this world by his parents, James Edward and Annis Delle Turbeville. After growing up in Jackson, Mississippi, Mike graduated from Murrah High School in 1968 and continued his education at Ole Miss, where he majored in business and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.Following college, Mike worked in the furniture industry for more than 40 years. In 1988, he and his wife Gail opened the Norwalk - The Furniture Idea in Jackson. During the last 30 years, Mike was a Sales Representative for Norwalk Custom Order Furniture and earned several awards for excellence in sales. When he was not working, he loved to hunt and play golf, a sport he learned from his father, Ed.Mike had a very strong faith and shared that faith with his family and friends. He was generous with his love and friendship, earning him love and friendship in return. Mike truly was a best friend to those he knew well. He will be missed greatly and remembered dearly.Mike is survived by his wife of 29 years, Gail; his sister Kay Sanders and her daughter Tracye (Lance Heldt); his children Casey Medlin, Molly Berryhill, Gracie Turbeville, and Cody Turbeville; his grandchildren Blake Ainsworth, Jordan Carlin, and Dallas Carlin; and several great-nieces and nephews. Mike poured his heart and soul into his family. They miss him deeply, but look forward to the day they are together again.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital or Pine Lake Church - Brandon, Mississippi.
