Michael Wayne Juarez, 59, of Kansas City, MO, died December 4, 2016 at Research Medical Center. A graveside service will be held with private family only on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Maple Hill Cemetery. Michael was born on October 17, 1957 in Kansas City, MO, to Cesario and Mary (Luna) Juarez, Sr., who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. He was a gifted football player and was awarded a scholarship at Hutchinson Community College for football. Michael received the All-American Award on December 8, 1976 while playing for Hutchinson. Michael agreed to further his football career and was offered to play at Clemson University, however, an injury ended his football career. Michael is survived by his four sisters, Ruth J. Jones (Steven), Felicitas Phyllis Santillan, Rosemary J. Oman and Katherine Juarez; three brothers, James Reyes (Elizabeth), Vincent and David Reyes. His nieces and nephews will miss him dearly.
