Michelle Vore, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 48 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, United States. She was born on August 9, 1974, to the late Joseph Vore and Sally Vore, who survives her.
Michelle was an exceptional individual, with a vibrant personality and a contagious smile. She was always full of life and spirit, which made those around her feel just as alive. Her positivity and optimistic outlook on life were unmatched, and many sought out her guidance and comfort during difficult times. Michelle was a beacon of hope to everyone who crossed her path, and her kindness and generosity knew no bounds.
Michelle was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend. Her love and loyalty were unwavering, and she always put others' needs above her own. She was a gifted listener and had a way of making people feel heard, valued, and appreciated. Her sense of humor and quick wit were infectious and brought joy to all who experienced them.
Michelle was a graduate of Jacksonville High School, where she was involved in student government and was a standout varsity athlete in basketball and track. After graduation, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Michelle then went on to obtain her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from East Carolina University, where she discovered her true passion for helping others.
Michelle dedicated her career to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. She worked as a licensed therapist for 15 years, providing counseling to individuals and families facing a range of challenges. Her dedication to her clients was unmatched, and she was known for going above and beyond to meet their needs.
Michelle was a free spirit who loved to travel and explore new places. She had a natural curiosity about the world around her and was always eager to learn and grow. She also had a great appreciation for the arts, literature, and music and enjoyed attending concerts, art exhibits, and poetry readings.
Michelle's family and friends will always remember her as a kind, loving, and compassionate human being who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her spirit and legacy will live on forever in the countless lives she has impacted over the years.
Michelle is survived by her mother, Sally Vore; her sister, Susan Vore; and her brother, Mark Vore. Her family and friends are comforted in knowing that she is now reunited with her father in heaven.
A celebration of Michelle's life will be held on May 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at the Coastal Carolina Cemetery in Jacksonville, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made in her honor to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
