Francek, MildredMildred (Mitchler) Francek, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Matthews Senior Living in Neenah with family by her side. Mildred was born on August 23, 1924 to the late John and Olga (Jesse) Mitchler. In 1947 she married the late Al Small and they were together until his passing in 1967. In 1973 she married the late John Francek and they were together until his passing in 1997. In her free time, Mildred enjoyed knitting, camping at Lake Tomahawk, and gambling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxillary #60 and also a member of the
VFW Auxillary 10544.Mildred will be greatly missed by her siblings: Dorothy Micheln, Delores Fisher, Sharalene (Roger) Rainville, Daniel (Joann) Mitchler, Jesse Jarat, Marilyn (Gerald) VanderPas, and Barbara Mitchler, and a sister-in-law, Rosemary Mitchler. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Olga; first husband, Al Small; second husband, John Francek; infant sister, Carmen; siblings: Carmel Leavitt, Gladys (James) Zielinski, and John David Mitchler; and brother-in-law, James Fisher.Funeral services for Mildred will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at MARTIN LUTHER CHURCH, 436 S. Lake St. Neenah, 54956. There will be a time of visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Online condolences can be expressed at
