Mildred F. LaMeer1921 - 2015Mildred F. LaMeer, 94, passed away on Monday, Dec. 07, 2015, at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire. She was born on July 22, 1921, in Benton Harbor Mich., to Harry and Maude (Hartnell) Myers. She married Sheldon LaMeer on Oct. 3, 1944, in Kenosha and together they raised their family in Salem. They moved to Tomah in 1976 and then moved to Bloomer in 1990. Mildred's life was filled with many activities, as she always had to be doing something. She loved sewing, crocheting, gardening, family gatherings, including yearly Brewer games and playing cards at every opportunity. She was active in the United Methodist Church and enjoyed the fellowship and sharing her strong faith.She is survived by her children Keith (Debbie) LaMeer of Salem, Wis., Sheldon LaMeer of Bloomer, Wis., Joel (Jill) LaMeer of Twin Lakes, Wis., Dale (Denise) LaMeer of Cornell, Wis., and Barbara Jarr of Bloomer, Wis.; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Maude; husband, Sheldon; siblings, Lloyd Myers, Dorothy Master, Mary Scott, Betty Rynearson; grandchild, Ronnie LaMeer; great grandchildren, Joshuah LaMeer and Danielle Heath. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83), Antioch, IL 60002. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the start of service Sunday at the funeral home. In addition, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Bloomer, with a time of gathering from 12 Noon to 1 p.m. Interment will follow sometime in the future in Salem Mound Cemetery, Salem Township, Wis.
