Mildred Ritchie, 92, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010. She was born on January 10, 1918 in Dawson, New Mexico, to Joseph and Eva Forenpoher Shubert. Mildred married the love of her life, Julius Ritchie on June 19, 1937 in Raton, New Mexico. She lived in New Mexico, Colorado, California, Arizona and Texas, she enjoyed her many friends and her family was always foremost. Since 1965, Mildred has been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo, Texas. Mildred is survived by her son Ronald Ritchie of Burlingame, California; her two brother, Ralph Shubert and Joseph Shubert; her four grandchildren, Kirk Folkner, Eric Folkner, Chris Ritchie and Rachel Goodrich; her eight great grandchildren, Nicholas Folkner, Graham Folkner, Austin Moore, Tyler Law, Erin Folkner, Grace Ritchie, Tessa Ritchie and Grant Goodrich. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Julius Carl Ritchie; her daughters, Wilma Folkner and Mary Ann Ritchie her four sisters and three brothers. A vigil will be held at Brentwood Chapel, Schooler Funeral Home on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Celebrant will be Messenger Harold Waldow. Burial will be held immediately following at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1200 S. Washington, Amarillo, Texas 79102 and Catholic Family Services, 200 S. Tyler St., Amarillo, Texas 79101.
