Mildred Rose WAWAKA — Mildred Virginia Rose, age 92, of Wawaka, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at her home in Wawaka. She was born on May 29, 1923, the daughter of Charles and LaVon (Fulk) Wysong in Los Angeles, California. On April 21, 1943, she married Raymond F. Rose. He preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by her four sons, Dennis (Sue) Rose, Dee (Betty) Rose, David (Lucinda "Cindy") Rose, and Edward Rose; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Max Wysong; and three sisters, Beverly Sponhauer, Helen Knapp and Doris Price. Mildred graduated from Wawaka High School in 1941. She then worked very hard to complete training to become a qualified medical assistant. Mildred enjoyed creating art, writing poetry, and just writing in general. Her time was spent helping and being at church. Mildred loved her family along with her animals. A funeral service will be held in Mildred's honor today, April 28, 2016, at 10 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior to the service, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S., Ligonier.
