Mildred ZuckermanYorkMildred "Mickey" (Cohn) Zuckerman, 99, died Monday May 9, 2016. She was the wife of the late Milton Zuckerman.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Temple Beth Israel, 2090 Hollywood Drive, York. Officiating at the service will be Rabbi Jeffrey Astrachan. Burial will be in South Hill Hebrew Cemetery. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements.Mrs. Zuckerman was born on March 26, 1917, in Brooklyn, NY and was a daughter of the late N.O. and Tillie Cohn.Mickey was a member of Temple Beth Israel, where she served as Secretary of the Sisterhood of the Temple and President of the York Chapter of Hadassah. She was a member of the Board of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish Community Center, a member of the White Rose Bridge Club, York and the Blue Ridge Country Club in Harrisburg. She also volunteered for several civic organizations in York, including the former Sheltered Workshop. She is survived by a son, Lee Zuckerman of York; two grandchildren, Mindi Haines and her husband Matt of York and Todd M. Zuckerman and his wife, Julie Styskin of Hershey; four great-grandchildren, Caden and Zoe Haines, Marc and Sam Zuckerman; many nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Larry A. Zuckerman.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Martin Memorial Library, Development Office, 159 E.
