Rindt, Milton G. Of Brookfield, WI, passed away peacefully on March 25th, 2017, at the age of 99, having lived a long and wonderful life. He was born on June 26th, 1917 - just 3 months shy of his 100th birthday. Milton was a graduate of South Division High School, where he excelled in track, garnering several medals. He was offered a scholarship to the University of Idaho in track, as well, but elected to attend Marquette University in Milwaukee. In 1944 he married Marion Frantz, who survives. He was a loving father to Kathy Ladavac (Bob) of Indianapolis, IN, Lynda Majewski (Joseph) of Burlington, WI, and John (Katie) of El Paso, TX. Milton was the proud grandfather to Christopher Housefield of Yorkville, IL, Joey Majewski (Kim) of Traverse City, MI, Mark (Jodi) Majewski of Libertyville, IL, JP Rindt of Dallas, TX and Matthew (Dee) Rindt also of Dallas, TX. Milton is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and other family members, most notably his nephew, Steve Frantz, with whom he enjoyed a special relationship. Milton retired from Albert Trostel Leather Tanning in 1980. In retirement, they spent their summer months at their home on Arbutus Lake in northern Wisconsin, and winter months in Destin, FL. In 1998 they moved back to Brookfield area to be closer to family and a multitude of friends. Milton was a proud veteran of WWII and thrilled to have gone on the Honor Flight with his daughter, Lynda. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and lover of all sports but mainly a true-blue fan of his beloved Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Baylor Bears and the Milwaukee Brewers. The family would like to thank their devoted caregiver, Mary Evans, for her years of loving support and the Brookfield Regency for their care and compassion for the last four years. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, April 2nd from 6 to 8 PM. Additional visitation will take place on Monday, April 3rd at Elm Grove Lutheran Church, Elm Grove (945 Terrace Drive) beginning at 9:00 Am until the time of service at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
