MANCHESTER - Milton H. Prive, 88, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester.He was born on Oct. 18, 1928, in Manchester, son of Henry J. and Irene (Vanasse) Prive.He was the beloved husband of Sylvia (Allard) Prive.Milton was born, raised and educated in Manchester. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and worked as a metal lather for his entire working life. He was a member of the Canadian Club and Workman's Social Club.For 40 years, he enjoyed camping at and helping to maintain the Glen n' Glade Campground in Pittsfield.He was predeceased by a daughter, Lee Anne Groves; five brothers; and five sisters.Along with his loving wife, Sylvia, he is survived by three sons, Bruce and Wayne of Mississippi, and Dennis of Deering; a daughter, Karen, of Manchester; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert of Candia and Lucien of Manchester; six sisters, Judy Charrette of Allenstown, Pauline Caron of Epsom, Rita Laroche and Claire LaVertue of Ocala, Fla., Rena Sorel of Manchester, and June Eaton of Auburn; as well as many nephews and nieces..SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Club Canadian, 128 S. Main St. in Manchester.
