Mindle Edmond Spencer went home to God at 93 years old on July 3rd, 2016 at his home in Yuma, AZ. He was born on April 26th, 1923 in Butler, OK, where he farmed with his family until he entered the US
Army and fought in World War II. When he returned, he established a homestead in Bard, CA, and became known as the Cotton King for bringing cotton farming back to the Yuma area after the war. Mindle raised his family in Bard, became a Christian, and lived the rest of his successful life as a faithful follower of Christ. He established a home in Pinetop, AZ. Mindle was a quiet, strong, generous, hardworking, gracious man who will be dearly missed.He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Spencer; son, Phillip Spencer; daughter-in-law, Janice Spencer; mother, Daphene Spencer; father, Glen Spencer; brothers, Joe Spencer, Lewie Spencer, Winefred Spencer and Royce Spencer. He is survived by his wife, Maurine Spencer; daughter, Glenda Spencer; brothers, Arnold Spencer, Donald Spencer; sister, Wanda Spencer; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held in honor of Mindle at Desert Lawn Memorial Park1415 South 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364 on Friday, July 8th at 10:30AM.
