Minerva “Minnie” Talavera was born to Refugio and Graciela Talavera in El Paso, Texas on March 09, 1966. Minerva was a loving mother of 4 children; Deon, Marques, Mario, and Carmella. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; Olivia, Zion, and Ever.
Minerva accomplished many things. One of her most high-lighted achievements was successfully earning a business degree. With dreams of someday creating, branding and marketing her own cleaning service. Minnie had a way of touching every heart with the smile and gentleness she shared. Minnie was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. Minnie loved RC Cola because the fizz lasted longer. She loved watching the Lion King with her kids and singing her favorite song "Breath Again" by Toni Braxton while cleaning around the house.
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen. (“La fe es la certeza de lo que se espera y la convicción de lo que no se ve.”) Her sons have faith that the seed of love that Minnie embedded in them flourished to creating friendships, partnerships, and ultimately future generations.
"If roses grow in Heaven, Lord,
Please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother’s arms
And tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love and miss her,
And when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek,
And hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it everyday,
But there’s an ache within my heart
That will never go away."
"We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God call us one by one, the chain will link again."
Minerva was loved dearly. May her soul rest in peace.
