A Life Full of Laughter and Love

We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Minerva Sampayo, born on January 10, 1960, and left us on January 22, 2025, in Danbury, CT. She is survived by her loving spouse Angel Sampayo, whom she married in 1990, and their two children, Fabian and Matthew with spouse Amanda. Minerva also leaves behind two precious grandchildren, Joaquin and Isla.

She was the daughter of Pablo Alejandro and Antonia Figueroa. Minerva attended Norman Thomas High School, graduating in 1978, before continuing her studies at Adelphi.

In 1983, Minerva became a mother to Fabian and welcomed her second Matthew in 1992. She dedicated her life to caring for her children and creating a loving home for her family. The adoration she had for her boys was tangible. In 2022 Minerva was promoted to “ABUELA” and she wore that title with pride!

Despite her battle with ovarian cancer, Minerva never lost her sense of humor and infectious laughter. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and unwavering love and support for those she loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation in Minerva's memory.

Although at peace, Your laughter and warm hugs will be so deeply missed.

You can to the family or in memory of Minerva Sampayo.
