It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Minnie Jackson, a beloved member of the Terrell community who passed away on June 20th, 2023 at the age of 73.
Minnie was born on January 1st, 1950 to parents Walter and Ruth Jackson in Terrell, Texas. She attended Terrell High School and went on to receive a degree in education from the University of North Texas.
After graduation, Minnie worked as a teacher in the Terrell Independent School District for over 30 years, becoming a respected and beloved figure among her fellow teachers and students alike. She was known for her kind heart, patience, and dedication to ensuring that every student in her classroom had the support and guidance they needed to succeed.
Beyond her work in the school district, Minnie was also an active member of her community. She was a regular volunteer at the Terrell Public Library, where she spent countless hours sharing her love of literature with children and adults alike. She was also involved in local charities and outreach programs, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Throughout her life, Minnie was known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. She never shied away from hard work or a challenge, and her tireless spirit inspired countless others to follow in her footsteps.
As we mourn Minnie's passing, we are comforted by the knowledge that her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the countless hearts she warmed. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
