Minnie Savannah Lacy McCainPoughkeepsie - Minnie Savannah Lacy McCain, 85, of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away on December 7, 2016 of an illness. She was born on October 31, 1931, in Atglen, PA to the late Thomas and Minnie Lacy. She graduated High School with honors in 1951, and then worked at the Coatesville VA Hospital and a Westchester, PA. Nursing Home. She previously lived in Modena, PA and Philadelphia, PA. She loved education, the medical field, and music. In Minnie's quest to get to know God, and find answers to her questions, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1951 and served as a full time minister from 1999-2001. She was predeceased by her siblings; Lee Lacy, Gertrude Mathis, Philip Lacy, Joyce Lacy, Vivien Hall, Margaret London, Mary Harrison and Feebie Lacy. She is survived by 6 children by her marriage with Conway McCain; Conway P. McCain (Princess), Saundra McCain, Edward McCain (Rebeca), Joyce Rosato, Philip McCain, and Juanita McCain, grandchildren; Carmen (Michael) McClean, Carla McCain, Christopher McCain, Leah Carr, Rachael Carr, Jonathon Carr and Jennifer Rosato, and other great grandchildren and friends. Special thanks to Kristin Craig who helped care for her for many years. The Funeral will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Saturday, December 17th 2016 at 3pm.
