Miriam Enochs Miriam Enochs, 92, of Dataw Island, SC formerly of Detroit, MI, died on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Bayview Manor in Beaufort, SC. The funeral services will be private and held at a later date. Miriam was born on February 9, 1924 in Helena, Arkansas to the late George Watkins and Frances Etta Adams Watkins. She loved socializing with friends, playing bridge and other card games, bowling, golfing, and going to casinos. She also loved traveling and saw much of the world. With her quick wit, she loved to recall a good joke and to make people laugh. She was a graduate of Wayne State University and spent her career as a social worker for the state of Michigan. She is the widow of Luther Martin Enochs and leaves behind two children, Katherine Green (Dennis) of Dataw Island and Joseph Harris (Justine) of Ann Arbor, MI, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Sea Island Presbyterian Church in Beaufort, SC. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
