Our husband, father, grandfather, son, friend, and coach, Mitchell “Mitch” Lee Moody, joined his father, mother, and brother in Heaven on September 5, 2021 at 10:45 PM at Providence Saint Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, Washington.
Mitch was born August 23, 1968 to Gerry Lee Moody and Berna Lyn Kuntz in Placerville, California where he lived until he and his father relocated to Randle, Washington when Mitch was 16 years old. Mitch attended and graduated from White Pass High School where he met his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Karen “Rene” Moody.
Mitch and Rene married in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on September 19, 1987. Together, they raised three children, Joshua, Breanna, and Derek.
Mitch has always loved being outdoors and his love for hunting and fishing has been passed down to his kids and grandkids. Once Mitch became “Papa”, his hobbies and passions changed. They changed to whatever brought smiles and joy to all of his grandbabies’ faces. Mitch loved to keep things simple and loved to have all of his family together. If you were to ask Mitch what is the one thing he'd want everyone to know, it would be how much he loved Rene. His day to day activities revolved around everyone else and most of all, he loved to spoil his wife. He never complained and never failed to put a smile on your face. His big heart and patience will forever be missed.
Mitch is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rene; son Joshua, and his children, Ryelah, Emberleigh, and Brady; daughter Breanna, her wife Norma, and their children, Andres, Joaquin, Alondra, Jocelyn, and Rihanna; son Derek, his wife Taylor, and their daughter, Macy.
Preceding him in death are his father, Gerry Lee Moody, mother, Berna Lyn Kuntz, and his brother, Martin “Marty” Howe.
A celebration of life will be held at the Family Worship Center located at 10074 US HWY 12, Randle, Washington, 98377 on October 2, 2021 at 2 PM. Pulled pork sandwiches will be provided, but please feel free to bring a side dish or salad that you would like to share. Please note that masks will
