Mona Florence MountsFRANKFORT: Mona Florence Mounts, of Frankfort, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016. She was born on December 2, 1932, in Coshocton, to the late Charles Wilber and Lillie (McCoy) Moore. In her younger days, Mona made ice cream for the Sweet Shop in Roscoe while her sister ran the store. Mona enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, quilting, and watching her husband coach softball games. She had a wonderful caring heart and supported many charities throughout her life. She is survived by her children, Jo (John) Paazig of Coshocton, Michael Mounts of Chillicothe, James Mounts of Coshocton, Billy (Cathy) Mounts of Coshocton, and Mary Spears of Chillicothe, 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vera Hardesty of Coshocton and Jean Strickland of Lancaster; one brother, Dean (Norma) Moore of Coshocton; brother-in-law, Paul Mounts of Coshocton and several other brothers-in-law. Along with her parents, Mona is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Leo Mounts who passed away in 2008, a daughter, Nancy Woods; grandson, Homer Austin; granddaughter, Debbie Paazig Fowler; one sister, Nancy Wilson; two brothers, Roland "Rod" Moore and David Moore; a daughter-in-law, Pam Mounts; a son-in-law, James Warner; and one brother-in-law, Delbert Hardesty. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, from 11:00 am to 12:00pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home with Sheldon Mencer officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
